Role Description
You'll work on the routing and processing layer that handles millions of API requests daily.
What you will do:
Design and scale the gateway internals that route and process millions of API requests a day.
Own rate limiting, request transformation, and low-latency request handling at the core of the platform.
Drive down p99 latency as traffic grows, and build the gateway to fail predictably under load.
Work with the data and security teams to make every request observable and safe by default.
Who you are:
You've built high-throughput backend systems in production and care about latency, correctness, and clean failure modes.
You're fluent in a systems language such as Go or Rust, and comfortable with distributed systems, caching, and concurrency.
You reach for data before opinions and enjoy making hard performance problems simple.
You've felt the pain of a fragile API gateway and want to build one that doesn't break.
